In 1896 Bombay under British rule, famine-stricken mutant embraces her monstrous nature to seek revenge against oppressive forces.
A concentration camp holds Izna, a plague-infected and famine-stricken being who, along with others, was turned into a mutant by medical experiments. British officers invite photographer William Wallace Hooper to document the mutants, unaware that he’s controlled by a shapeshifting vampire called a Pisach. While Hooper bonds with Izna, the Pisach infects prey with insatiable hunger. But when Izna discovers Hooper’s role in her mother’s death, she becomes a monster herself, embracing her hunger, consuming her oppressors, drenching her land in blood, and forging an inseparable link between oppressed and oppressor.
